Skiing - Mt. Tremblant boasts the second highest ski hill in Eastern Canada with a 2500' (800m) vertical. Ski conditions in April should be spring skiing conditions (warm air, slushy snow) at the base winter skiing conditions on the top 1/2. The workshop program has been arranged so that there will be an opportunity to ski each day. Ski equipment can be rented at the ski hill on a daily basis. Ski Clothing is critical for this activity. Although the average daily temperature in April is above freezing, temperatures could be below -20C with a significant wind, especially on the mountain. If you do not have suitable ski wear and wish to try skiing, Club Tremblant also rents ski clothing. The approximate cost is $21/half-day for equipment, $19 for clothing through $109/four-day (+$91 for clothing). Please disregard the discussion on clothing on the registration page.
Sugarbush - Quebec produces most of the Maple Syrup in Canada and early April is usually the prime time for the sap to be running. There will be an organized trip to a sugar bush for anyone interested in exploring this activity.
Other activities - April is early for other outdoor activities as there should still be a knee-deep cover of wet snow on the ground, making tennis, golf, etc. unavailable. Hikes can be taken along the country roads and there is some shopping in the village.
