Attendees will be introduced to the development of Object Oriented Systems based on "The Rational Unified Process" and the "Unified Modeling Language". The steps involved in developing an Object Oriented System as well as the UML notation used to capture the design of that system will be explained.

To demonstrate some of the benefits of UML, we will also show how the graphical representation of the design of the system (UML) translates into actual source code by using Rational Rose to generate source code. We will generate code in the following languages: Java, C++, Ada.

Mark Specializes in Rational Certified mentoring and training in the area of Object Oriented Analysis and Design. Previously, Mark spent 3 1/2 years with Rational Software Corporation as a Technical Representative providing extensive training and consulting services to both commercial and defense related companies using the Rational suite of software productivity tools (Rose, Clearcase, Apex, etc.).
