Instructions for Preparing Camera-Ready Electronic Submissions for SIGAda '98 Proceedings

It is essential that you follow these guidelines to facilitate timely production and distribution of the Proceedings. The Proceedings will be distributed as an issue of AdaLetters, after the conference has taken place. This will give your submissions a much wider audience.

Length:

Papers must not exceed 15 pages including bibliography; experience reports should not normally exceed two pages.

Abstract:

Each paper must begin with an abstract, labeled "Abstract". Click here for guidelines on writing your abstract.

Preparing your paper:

Please prepare your paper or experience reports using one of the following templates, which you can download by clicking:

Submitting your paper:

You must submit your paper in one of the following forms, which are given in order of (strong) preference. Please follow our file naming conventions.

  • Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) with embedded fonts. Please use the file name author.pdf, where you substitute your last name for author.
  • PostScript. Please use the file name author.ps.
  • Microsoft Word source. Please use the file name author.doc.

Please use Word only if you really have no choice, because the proliferation of Word versions, and the multiplicity of fonts having similar names, presents a high probability that the paper you think you sent doesn’t look like the one we received!

We prefer ftp file transfer; please use e-mail attachments only if you cannot successfully ftp the file, and only by prearrangement with Susan Carlson.

Transmit your file by anonymous ftp to

ftp://ftp.seas.gwu.edu/incoming/sigada98

Please e-mail Michael Feldman (mfeldman@seas.gwu.edu) and Susan Carlson (scarlson@iitri.org) to let us know your paper is on the ftp site.

The ACM copyright form must be signed and returned by paper mail!

ACM will not publish any paper that is not accompanied by a signed copyright form. In those cases where there is more than one author per paper, only the first-named author must sign.

Please transmit your camera-ready paper and send your signed copyright form so that it is received by August 14, 1998. The copyright form must be sent to:

IIT Research Institute
4409 Forbes Blvd
Lanham, MD 20706-4328 USA

Tel: +1 301.523.1783
Net: scarlson@iitri.org

Papers not received by August 14 cannot be included in the proceedings.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Michael B. Feldman, mfeldman@seas.gwu.edu
