The Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a division of The Johns Hopkins University, serves as a technical resource to the Department of Defense and other federal and state agencies for innovative research and development. The Laboratory is distinguished by a unique combination of capabilities and depth of expertise within a single, highly diverse organization. APL fills a bridging role for both government and industry in the application of advanced technology to complex problems.

The Laboratory also sponsors a number of scientific and technical conferences and symposia, which are held on-site at the Kossiakoff Conference and Education Center.

Due to the distance between the Conference Hotel and the 
Conference Venue at JHU / APL, Shuttle busses will be provided to transport Conference attendees between the two sites.
