APL's Kossiakoff Conference and Education Center includes a 500-seat auditorium, a large two-level dining area, plus 10 classrooms, videoconferencing facility, and computing laboratories. The facility supports APL education activities as well as numerous scientific and technical events. Each semester the APL Education Center serves approximately 1,000 students, from businesses and government agencies in the Baltimore-Washington area, in more than 100 classes. The part-time programs of the University's G.W.C Whiting School of Engineering, with the APL Education Center as its major component, constitute one of the largest part-time graduate engineering programs in the United States.
