This representation is stored in a life cycle support environment where iterations with software, hardware, and human factors engineers are used to evolve a solution space. Within any application domain, a progression of engineering should be applied.  Domain engineering is used first to define the problem space, its constraints, and its vocabulary. For a desired product line, a generic solution architecture (GA) is then defined including its constraints and interfaces.
