SIGAda 2005
Sponsored by ACM SIGAda November 13-17 Atlanta, Georgia |
ACM SIGAda's annual conference is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious
event dedicated to Ada technology in the world. Our 23rd
annual conference, SIGAda 2005 will be held November 13-17, in
Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta is a marvelous
place to hold a conference as it has pleasant weather in November
facilitating technical discussions in a congenial environment. SIGAda
2005 will feature technical sessions, tutorials, and a vendor exhibition.
SIGAda 2005 promises to draw our usual rich mix of Ada practitioners,
researchers, vendors, academics, and Government representatives for the
highest level forum of technical exchanges and business contacts.
SIGAda 2005's Local Arrangements Chair (also the catalyst behind the
Walnut Creek Ada CD before Walnut Creek ceased to exist) is both a recent
Lockheed-Martin employee and a current Microsoft employee. In the former
role he is leveraging his contacts and influence to solicit participation
from the large LM projects in the Atlanta area as both paper submitters
and conference attendees. In the latter role he has already gained the
support of Microsoft for the conference in the form of a Platinum sponsorship,
opening the door for an interesting face-to-face investigation of mutually
beneficial collaboration between Microsoft and vendors as well as users
of Ada technology. This degree of advance organizing and cooperation is
unprecedented in Ada conference planning and is paying off in energy
throughout the conference committee to take advantage of these already
in-hand opportunities for submissions and attendees. This not only translates
into a unique opportunity for Ada vendors but promises new (and more) Ada
users at the conference for Ada vendors to meet.
A conference program featuring our tradition of refereed papers and "big name" invited speakers on nationally important topics, strong local support from Microsoft and registration fees competitive with any other technical conference are generating strong early interest in SIGAda 2005 and the promise of increased attendance at SIGAda 2005.
SIGAda conference attendees' interests include software-engineering
technologies such as high-integrity systems, distributed
computing, real-time processing, and open systems and
standards. Because of its reputation for safety and
reliability, Ada is used in aerospace, biomedical,
transportation, and embedded systems. Because many of
today's systems are developed in multiple programming languages
and rely heavily on COTS software, our attendees are also
interested in non-Ada libraries, tools, related applications technologies,
and mixed-language solution support. Our typical attendee is a senior
engineer who influences software purchasing decisions in a high maturity
organization.
COST EFFECTIVE EXHIBITING: Of particular interest to potential exhibitors, SIGAda is continuing to make our Exhibit Hall an even more cost-effective experience for you. This year we will repeat last year's exhibit space format. Our exhibit space rental provides a draped Table-Top booth with two chairs and electrical access. (No extra "decorating charges" are necessary.) Single Table Top booths are the only space option we offer. Like all recent SIGAda conferences, the exhibition will be one and a half days (Tuesday-Wednesday, November 15-16), which prove to be sufficient time for our attendees to visit all exhibitors and for you to make the contacts you need. And, every exhibiting company at the $2K Silver Sponsorship level or higher gets one free full-conference registration (two for $4K Platinum sponsors!) and a vendor presentation integrated into our technical sessions.
CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS: SIGAda again invites companies to contribute to, and become a part of, SIGAda 2005 and SIGAda's success by becoming SIGAda 2005 Corporate Sponsors, starting at the lowered fee of $2000 which used to be the basic exhibiting fee and which we hope will be the beginning choice of all of SIGAda's supporters. Your sponsorship enhances the value of the event for attendees and presents you, our Corporate Sponsors, more visible opportunities to be recognized as industry leaders. Several tailorable levels of Corporate Sponsorship have been established, each providing benefits greater in value than making similar contributions under previous separately priced sponsorship arrangements. All Corporate Sponsors' names and your logos will be prominently recognized in the SIGAda 2005 Final Program (FP), in online conference publicity, and on tote bags given to all attendees. Benefits and options at SIGAda 2005 for Corporate Sponsors are shown in the following table. Contact the Exhibits Chair for case-by-case tailoring discussions.
