Appointment
of Treasurer
The executive committee held a discussion on the subject of Geoff Mendal's
appointment as Treasurer and subsequent refusal to accept the position. After
much discussion, Dave Emery was appointed as treasurer to fill the remainder of
Russ Plain's term. Also, Curtis Bradley will take over for Ed Colbert in
organizing booth logistics for shows that SIGAda attends.
As a follow-up to both meetings, a budget discussion meeting was scheduled for
12/2/94 via a conference call. There was also agreement to hold a long range
planning meeting, but no date was scheduled.
Hal voiced his opinions on the IALC. It was decided that the IALC was a
separate entity and not under the control of SIGAda.
It was agreed upon that, with regard to any ideas presented in executive
committee e-mail discussions, the default will be that no follow-up responses
indicate disapproval. Unless an e-mail message received positive
follow-up from a majority of the members of the committee, the sender shall
assume that the idea does not have their support.
