!discussion My copy (printed from a floppy) has no paragraph numbers
(allowed by JTC1 and mentioned in the Instructions for Comment
Submission) in most clauses, but does have line numbers (not allowed
by JTC1). Maybe this is an artefact of the printing, but consistent
and complete paragraph numbering (as RM) would be an advantage.

Providing paragraph numbers in the margins presents three serious
problems:

1. Microsoft Word 6.0 does not provide an automatic capability
   for the generation of paragraph numbers in the margins.

2. Sections 3 through 23 of ASIS are provided in compilable
   text where an automatic paragraph numbering scheme would not
   be appropriate.

3. The use of paragraph numbers in the margins is not an
   acceptable practice by ISO (see "ISO/IEC Directives, Part 3")

The line numbers in the margins have been removed to conform with
ISO standards.

These are reflected in ASIS version 2.0.N.
