Also write "An initialization expression (possibly absent)" for "Initial Value (possibly null)" in order not to blur the distinction between syntactic objects as expressions and semantic objects like values. In figure 2-1 "Initial Value" should be substituted by "Expression". The name of the Initial_Value query should also be renamed accordingly because it is a syntactic query. This also causes change in section 2.2.3.2.
