Ada Conference UK |
The Ada Conference UK 2006 is being organised to promote awareness of the Ada 2005 language revision, and to highlight the increased relevance of Ada in safety-critical programming. Since its inception, Ada has been successful in systems where reliability is essential. Its application domains include aeronautics, air traffic control, aerospace, simulation, shipboard systems, railway systems, communications and many others. It is used in environments ranging from bareboard embedded devices to large-scale distributed real-time systems, and in multi-language software interfacing with languages such as C, C++, Fortran and Java. Ada is used worldwide, for both government and commercial systems, and is taught at colleges and universities where software engineering is an important focus.

EuroSpace DASIA Conference |
Eurospace, the association of the European space industry, sponsors the yearly DASIA (DAta Systems in Aerospace) conference. It was formally held for the first time in 1996 but is in direct continuation of the 'Ada in Aerospace' Conference arranged yearly since 1990 and the 'On-Board Data Management Symposium' organised several times during the same period. The focus of the conference is computer-based applications and technologies - hardware and software - for aerospace applications, in air/space and on ground. Fully recognising the technological cross-fertilisation and resemblance with other applications such as transport and telecommunications, participation of non-space industry and academia is encouraged.
